Ralph James painting at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum at the "Birds In Art" Exhibit
Since 1976, the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Museum has presented the national "Birds In Art" Exhibit. Over the years, the museum has acquired over 14,000 works of art for their permanent collection, including works by Ralph James. Three of Ralph's paintings have been selected from the group of 14,000 for inclusion in a show titled, "Beyond Artworks: Artists & Their Stories" and will be exhibited March 6 through June 6 along with historic and current day masters, including: John James Audubon, N. C. Wyeth, Andrew Wyeth, Jamie Wyeth, Roger Tory Peterson, Robert Bateman, Walter Matia, Jim Morgan to name a few. Over all, twenty-five artists were selected to be included, each represented by multiple works, to demonstrate the breadth and depth of the Museum's collection.
We are extremely proud of you, Ralph James, and want to send our deepest congratulations!
